Abstract

The international situation about manufacture, tensile properties and application of SiC_f/Ti composites was summarized. In this paper, SiC_f/Ti composites were fabricated by using foil/fabric/foil process, and the test results show that the tensile properties of SiC_f/Ti composites are satisfactory. Some fabrication processes of SiC_f/Ti composites were also compared. The analyzed result reveals that vacuum plasma spray is a promising process.
