Abstract：In this paper, the melting and heat treatment processes of a near α titunium alloy Ti-8Al-1 Mo-1 Vhave been studied. The experiment result shows that equiaxed microstructure demonstrates good strength andductility at either room or elevated-temperature, as well as a moderate creep resistance and good toughness.The overall property of basket-weave and bimorphlogy microdructure is second to that of equiaxed mi-crostructure.Although the aligned microstructure exhibits the excellent creep resistance,it has very poor duc-tility and toughness.
