Abstract:The flow stress behavior of 2124 aluminum alloy during hot compression deformation was studied by thermal simulation test,under the conditions of the strain rate range of 0.1-10s-1 and the temperature range from 340-500℃.The results showed that the flow behavior of 2124 aluminum alloy was described by the hyperbolic sine constitutive equation,and an activation energy of 170.13kJ/mol was calculated.The processing maps were calculated and analyzed according to the dynamic materials model.The instability zones of flow behavior can be recognized by the maps.The optimum processing parameters of hot deformation in the range of this experiment can also be attained by the maps,which the hot temperature was around 450℃ and the strain rate is 0.01-0.1s-1.
