In this paper, a technique about the coating on the surface of the precision Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets by HCD processing is described. The aim is that the permanent magnets are protected from any corrosion in aqueous vapour with high temperature and high pressure. The characteristics of some of the compositions and structures at the regions nearby the coating and the substrate are investigated.

This report describes some characteristics of Cu-RE alloy electrical contact material briefly. The results of the verification tests and the longperiod industrial applications have proved that Cu-RE alloy can replace silver alloy as the electrical contact material used in the DC contactor for storage battery car.

The impact properties of FRP and their hybrid sturctures have been studied on the instrumented Charpy impact machine in this paper. The energy characteristics, including inpact energy and ductility index, and fracture feature of CFRP and GFRP under impact load have been analysed. The dynamic bend strength σd was introduced into the evaluation of the strength property of composites in the Charpy impact test, and compared with the results of three-point bend test which was similar as the previous in loading way.

FG-1 type demould agent is a non-silicone demould agent based on semi-dry oil. It is applicable for the demould of composite forming of several types of matrix, such as unsaturated polyester resin, phenolic resin, epoxy resin and polybutadiene resin and so on. It neither contaminates the products and nor corrodes the mould. The service temperature range is from room temperature to 175℃. The materials for the mould may be aluminium, steel, copper, composite, wood and plaster, etc. The application methods of spray coating,brush coating and erasing coating can be adopted. The effect of the demould is excellent.

This paper describes the research and manufacture of titanium investment casting for large sized housing type structure of thin wall using the ceramic shell with metal face layer.The casting of precision demension and adequate surface finish are obtained by proper process and centrifugal pouring.In order to meet the requirements of bearing the high working pressure, the internal defects are removed by hot isostatic pressing treatment.This titanium cast-ing.as an important structure.has been used in the air-space industry already.

This artical introduces a simple and reliable method for measuring liquid interfacial tension---Method ofHanging-Drop. The instrument introduced here is easily to be constructed, and also can be used to measure the interfacial tension by the method of drop volume. It can measure the tension range from 10-1to 102mN/m. With this instrument, we can determine the value of the tension which varies with the variety of the balance time. This method can measure the interfacial tension quickly, accurately and without the disturbance to the aurface. It needs less samples and has a complete theory.

On the basis of the productive practice and from the failure analysis point of view of plunger springs, the stress characteristics of the springs during service have been discussed, and the customary fracture mode and the failure reason of the springs have been summarized. The measures for the prevention of early failure of the springs, which exhibit the special value for guiding the production, have been proposed in the present paper.

The bright ghost structure often appears in the macrostructure of TC4 titanium alloy. It can cause the failure of space vehicle. This paper analyzes the fracture appearance, microscopic structure, chemical composition and micro-hardness of the bright ghost structure. It proves that the essence of the bright ghost structure is the composition segregration of raw and processed material. This article describes the forming reason of the bright ghost structure and the preventing methods.
