Zhong Peidao. Study on Tempering Transformation of 1Cr12Ni2WMoVNb(GX-8) Steel[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 7-11.

The tempering transformation of ICr12Ni2WMoVNb(GX-8) steel has been investigated. It is found that after the tempering at 300℃, the decomposition of martensite and M3C precipitation is observed. After the tempering within the temperature range of 400~500℃, the quantity of carbides in the steel is reduced since the M3C is dissolved into the matrix, and then carbide M7C3 is precipitated. After the tempering of 500~600℃, Carbide M7C3 is transformed into M2X. The amount of carbides in the steel is incresed rapidly with the increasing tempering temperature. As the tempering temperature is higher than 600℃, carbide M23C6is precipitated and grown up.

Qiang Jun, Wu Yilei, Pan Feng, Pan Mingxiang, Zhu Deyun. Investigation of an Al-Li Alloy Ageing Process[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 12-15.

The relationship between microstructue and mechanical properties of a 8090 Al-Li alloy during ageing is investigated. It is found that the ageing sequence at 190℃ seems to be αss→α+δ′→α+δ′+T1+S′→α+δ′+T1+S′+θ′+Tz. With the precipitation of T1 and S' phases the strength and elongation are both increased. When the alloy is overaged, the properties are reduced due to the precipitation of θ' and T2 phases.

Luo Bingqian, Zhang Zhu. Electroplating of Gold Imitation of the Stainless Steel Watch Bands[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 16-18.

The composition, technique, main effective factors and the general defects and their elimination in electroplating of gold imitation of the watch bands for Hua Jie electronic company are described in this paper. The results of the production show that such electroplating quality is as good as the quality of the products imported.

Zhou Ziqiang, Tian Shuqiang. Determination of Fracture Toughness of the High-Strength Steel Bar with Arc-Shaped Three-Point Bend Specimen[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 19-22.

According to ASTM E399-81 test standard and the consideration of the anisotropy in mechanical properties of structural steel bar caused by deformation process, a set of arc-shaped three-point bend specimens with C-R orientation and standard bend specimens with L-C orientation in the high-strength structural steel 30CrMnSiNi2A bars was designed and manufactured, and these specimens were heat-treated with current processes in the workshop. Then their fractrue toughnesses were determined separately by three-point bending method. The results showed that the fracture toughness KIC in C-R orientation is almost 1/3 less than KIC in L-C orientation. This case can be used as the necessary reference in the design and failure analysis of the actual structural components.

Li Jichen. Atomic Absorption Spectrometric Determination of Trace Nickel in Lead Alloys[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 26-27.

A procedure by FAAS is proposed for the determination of trace nickel in lead alloys. The trace nickel is measured by the standard addition method with a range of 0.001 to 0.01 percent. The results are very consistent to those results by the chemical methods for the testing of some standard samples. It is satisfactory to apply the proposed method for the standard samples and general samples of lead alloys.

Deng Rihong. Quantifying Characterization of NDT Reliability[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 31-35.

In recent years, because of the changes in aircraft design concept, the importance of the role of NDT has been significantly increased, and the design more depands on the effectiveness of NDT. The guarantee of the structural safety through damage tolerance analysis has focused the attention on quantifying the capability of NDT systems. This article describes the role of NDT in damage tolerant design, the statistical determination of the flaw probability curve, and the application of NDT reliability quantifying characterization.

Zhu Zhaoxiang. Review of the Requirements of Cold-Resistance of the Rubber Materials for Aircraft Hydraulic Systems[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 36-40.

This paper describes the requirements of cold-resistance of the rubber materials for aircraft hydraulic systems in some countries, and reviews the correlation between the test results of various cold-resistant test mathods and the practical application of the rubber seals. Thus, it is proposed that the method of the determination of low-temprature retraction to the rubber materials or the method of the determination of recovering coefficients after the compression at low temprature to the cold-resistant test of the rubber sealing materials is more significant.

Wu Guangren. Study on the Cause of the Explosion of the Front Windshield of the Fighter F-7[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1989, 0(4): 43-45.

Three accidents of the front windshield glass explosion on the fighter F-7 were happened consecutively in 1988. An idea to the explosion cause is proposed through the analysis in this paper. The quality problem of inorganic glass is considered as the accident cause.
