    This paper introduces mainly the effect of non-uniformity of carbon-fibers and ratio of epoxy weight and solidified technology parameters (pressure, temperature and time etc.) on the thickness of carbon/e-poxy composite. The formulae of thickness in accuracy ware derived based on the principle of accuracy and then through the computation and analysis, the formulae might be proved and applied to practice.

    In this paper, the microwave attenuation property of composite materials containing Mn-Zn ferrite with different particle sizes has been studied. It has been found that four particle sizes of Mn-Zn ferrite embodied epoxy composite materials have similar microwave absorbing characteristics. While the -80~120 mesh Mn-Zn ferrite particle embodied composite has a higher and wider absorbing peak. The central frequency of the peak shifts into high frequency direction.

    The effect of oxide on the superplasticity of P/M Al-Li-Mg alloy has been studied by the SEM and image analysis system. It shows that the fracture feature of the alloy would transit from intergranular to inter-PPB with the increasing temperature. The strength of PPB is determined by the content of oxide on it. Under the equal conditions, with the decreasing of power particle diameter, the oxide increases and the superplasticity of the alloy deteriorates.

    This paper presents the effect of heat treatment parameters (temperature, cooling rate and ageing times) on tensile properties of Ti-25Al-10Nb-3V-1Mo (atomic percent) at room temperature and at 700℃. By means of TEM, SEM and optical metallography, the microstructure, f ractography, phase structure and dislocation morphology of the alloy are observed and related to the tensile properties.

    This paper introduces the casting technology of pouring bronze ZQPb15-8 on the cylinder block made of steel 45. The paper enumerates the testing datum of all kinds, such as physical and chemical properties, friction and wear, scanning electron microscope, boundary diffusion, life testing and site check. All proves that this casting technology is simple and reliable.

    Wu Peiyuan. Study on Fault Reason of the WJ5A-1 Type Engine[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1992, 0(4): 33-37.

    The WJ5A-1 type (No.850086) engine fault was occured during the flight service. Through disassemble and check to the engine, we found that both the I stage gas turbine blade and the support component had been fatigue fractured off. the result obtained by macro-micro-fractography and metallography invecsti-gation showed that the cast defects produced in the manufacture process was the primary reason of the failure of blade fracture. The broken blade is the troublemarker of the engine.

    The article has detailed the applications and developments of composites used in automobile, such as Fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP), plastics blends, sheet molding compound (SMC) and so on. Simultaneously the composite-parts, such as motor-parts, body-parts, bumpers and quarter panels used in automobile have been introduced. The developments of the domestic composites used in automobile have been evaluated also.
