Zeng Hanmin, Zhang Zhiyi. Studies on the Micro-structure of the Interfacial Layer in CF/PEEK[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1992, 0(6): 4-6.

In this paper, the micro-structure of the transcrystallinity of polyetheretherketone (PEEK)around carbon fiber has been studied. Crystal growth unhinderedly only in the direction normal to fiber axis due to the very high nucleation density on the fiber is the reason that transcrystallinity can be formed. In PEEK transcrystallinity, the lamellae whose structure are identical to those in the around sphemlites are stacked orientedly perpendicular to the fiber axis. And the oriented lamellae will lead to the particular optical properties of the transcrystallinity.

Ding Wenjiang, Yu Ziazhang, Xu Xiaoping, Deng Zuwei. A Study on Cast Aluminium Matrix Composite Reinforced with SiC Particles[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1992, 0(6): 11-14.

After treated with vaccum-baking and tank-sealing, SiC particles were put into the melt when its solid fraction was about 0.4 to 0.5. Through stirring and other processing, cast composite material was manufactured, and property tests of this material ware made. The results indicate that this material with a good casting ability, high mechanical properties and excellent wear resistence, is suitable for die-casting, plaster precision casting, and metal, mold casting to manufacture some severely worked products such as piston, link, and so on.

Chen Hancun, Liu Zhengyi, Chen Huaping, chuang Yuchi. Effect of the Composition of ZrO2 Coationgs on Their Resistance to Hot Corrosion[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1992, 0(6): 22-26.

Effect of the composition of plasma-sprayed ZrO2 coatings on their resistance to hot corrosion was studied. The hot corrosion process included that the molten salt on the coating surface penetrated into the pores and microcracks of coating; and that the corrosive atmosphere from decomposition of the molten salt diffused into the coating. Doping with 2.8% SiO2 considerably increased the resistance of ZrO2 coating to hot Corrosion. ZrO2 coating stabilized with Y2O3 was more stable than that with CaO under the same hot corrosion condition because the reaction of CaO with the molten salt took place and caused a change of phase from tetragon to monocline of ZrO2 coating. Therefore the resistance of CaO-stabilized ZrO2 coating to hot corrosion was relatively low.

Qian Xinyuan. The Ultrasonic Inspection of Titanium Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1992, 0(6): 29-32.

On the basis of plenty of research and practical experience, the author points out that discontinuities and non uniformities of metallurgical structure, some of which are unanticipated, often result in noise signals while ultrasonic inspection is performed and that those signals should be treated prudently.
