    Electrochemical techniques combined with physical analysis techniques were employed to study hot corrosion of NiAl and NiAl (Fe) intermetallic compunds,and effects of sputtered CoCrAlY coating on hot corresion of NiAl (Fe)in molten NiCl-(Na,K)2SO4 melt.It is shown that hot corrosion resistunce of NiAland NiAl (Fe) are rather inferior,and sulfidation-oxidation is responsible for the accelerated corrosion.The addition of Fe to NiAl alloy may improve its hot corrosion resistance.The sputtered CoCrAlY coatingmay greatly improve hot corrosion resistance of NiAl (Fe).

    This paper has studied the influence of low level of La(RE)on Sr-modified structure of AlSi7Cu2Mg cast alloy.The interaction between La(RE elements) and Sr has been analyzed with electronicprobe,to be found to form a complex compound containing Sr,La etc.elements.It decrease Sr effectivemodification level,resulting in some effects on Sr-modified structure.

    The influence of tempering on machanical properties at room temperature and impact toughness havebeen studied.There are a obvious embrittlement zone in this steel after quenching from 990℃ and tempering at 450~500℃.Micro-analysis shows that the embrittlement phenomenon with 450~500℃ is induced by the decomposion of residual austenite and transformation of Fe3C to M23C6 during tempering.

    This paper presents the results of an investigation of the microstructure of the Pt-Ba alloy.The Pt-1.56wt% Ba alloy thin films for TEM observation are prepared by Ar ions sputtering.It is found that the Pt-Ba alloy is composed of a mixture of polycrystalline FCC Pt phase and HCP BaPt5 phase.The contentof the BaPt5 phase increases with the increasing Ba concentration in Ba-Pt alloy. The Pt grain consists ofa few Pt subgrains.And the BaPt5 phase exists in the Pt grainboundary or sub-grainboundary.

    SiCp/2024Al composites were fabricated under sealed non-vaccum condtion by P/M technique,andas-oxided industrial pure Al powder was used in place of microcrystulline pure Al powder as composite matrixes.The properties of those were tested and compared with those fabricated by conventional P/Mmethod.

    The fatigue crack threshold and fatigue crack propagation rate in 19%Vf-SiCw/LD2 composite havebeen measured. Fracture surfaces of the composite after fatigue was observed by SEM.The resulted showthat, in near threshold and medium fatigue crack propagation region,the fatigue propagation resistaence ofthe composites are higher than the matrix alloy.The propagation resistance of L-T specimens for the composite aged at 170℃ is higher than that of aged at 150℃.The course of fatigue crakd propagation includes that microcrack growth in different plane and (Ⅰ+Ⅱ)mixed-mode cracks propagation which arebetween the microcracks.The whiskers normal to cracks exhibit effective resistance to the cracks growth.

    The structure of the nitrided and no-nitrided CPM10V powder alloy under the no-pressure sintering isstudied.The relative density of no-nitrided alloy sintered at 1300℃(approximate to the melting point)isabout 95.8%, however.for the nitrided alloy, the sintering temperature, at which the compact gets arelative density of 99.3% due to the present of a liquid phase,is 30℃~90℃ lower than that of no-nitrided alloy by change of powder surface nitrogen content, and no eutecticum is obtained at the powderboundary.

    Differences between total pyrolytic graphite tubes and pyrolytically coated graphite tubes at characteristis in determination of molybdenum by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) havebeen investigated.The atomic absorption spetrometer used in this paper has not been equipped-with the temperature accessory.The results have shown that the total pyrolytic tubes are superior to the pyrolyticallycoated graphite tubes.
