The interfacial micarostructure of C/Al-Cu was compared with of C/Al by using TEM and SEM.The mechanism of copper addition in the matrix was studied.It was showing that three kinds of brittle compounds,CuAl2,Al4C3 and AlCu were on the interface.It was also found that CuAl2 did not obviously affec the nucleation of Al4C3,but decreased the growth of Al4C3.For this reason,C/Al-Cu composite could be used at higher temperature.

In this paper,the fibre/matrix reaction zone in comtinuous SiC fibre-reinforced Ti-15-3 alloy matrix composite has been inititally investigated The experimental results indicate that the thickness of the reaction zone in the SiC/Ti-15-3 sample fabricated by vacuum hot pressing or hot isostatic pressing is approximate-ly 4μm,the concentration of Ti,Si is high and the concentration of V,Cr,Sn and Al is low within the reaction zone.

The formation of amorphous Fe50Ti50 prepared by mechanical alloying(MA) has been investigated by X-Ray diffraction and SEM It is shwn that the process of amorphous formation by MA can be divided into two stages:the stage of fragment and the stage of amorphus formation.In addition,the effect of milling intensity on fromation of amophation also has been studied,It is shown that when the milling intensity is low,the powder needs extend time to become amorphous,When the milling intensity is high,the powder needs short time,but the powder will crystallize and form new phase during further milling.

In this papor,the coarwered macro-grain of a new ultrahigh-strength steel used for landing grar of air-plane has been studied.The results showed that both coarsed austenite grain and spoial upper-bonite structure formed during cooling down to the room temperature resulted in coarsed macro-grain.
