    By means of liquid sintering and hot extrusion,composites 10%SiCp(5μm)/Al and 20% SiCp(20μm)/Al were prepared from commercial Al,Cu,Mg powder and SiC particles.The material properties,homogeneity of matrix composition and the interface between metal matrix and SiC particulates were examined.The test results show that the mechanical proporties of 10%SiCp(5μm)/Al prepared by this methed are high and the cost is relatively iow because of simplified processing.The investigation also shows that over-strengthened hot extrusion may lead the particles cracking and therefore to cause the material properties.

    A study has been made for the grain refinement,fracture mode,strain-memory and pseudoelastic properties of Cu-Zn-Al-Mn-Ni-Ti shape memory alloy by Electronic-Extension Experiment,SEM and OM.It was found that the casted,rolled and guenched structures were refined a great deal compered with the unrefined Cu-based shape memory alloys,i.e.the mechanical properties of the experiment alloy had been remarkably improved,fracture strength at ambient temperature reached to 750MPa,fracture strain was up to 6.6%.And the low-temperature fracture was mainly quasicleavage step,this demonstrated that the fracture mede was transgranular type fracture.Elevated-temperature fracture was dimple pattern indicating microvoid type fracture mede.The experiment alloy exhibited excellent shape memory effect and pseudoelasticity,the perfect recoverable strain at ambient temperature was found to be 4.0%,and the maximum perfect pseudoelasticity strain was about 4.5%,both were near the average theoretical value of polycrystulline materials.

    The infltuence of different neodymium contents,solidification rates and melting processes on the precipitation behavior of neodymium-riched oxide particles in T-Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si alloy matrix has been investigated.The neodymium is precipitated to form neodymium-riched oxide particles by internal oxidation in liquid stae of alloy.The neodymium content and solidification rate affect the volume fraction,suze and distribution of neodymium-riched oxide particles.

    This paper introduces a process TWL-11 caoting system.The system consists of an aluminium filled chromate/phosphate base coat sealed with a chromate/phosphate topcoat.The process TWL-11 provides an exellent barrier against galvanic corrosion.Its low curing temperature makes it as an ideal coating for many high strength steels.

    The microstructure of Ti3Al-base alloy in an axial fatigue condition has been observed by transmission electron microscope(TEM),and the coordinated mechanism of deformation of primary α2 phase grains has been emphatically studied.It is showed that <1120> a-type dislocations can be accumulated to produce sub-grain boundary in primary α2 phase grains.The production and development of subgrains is an important mechanism to coordinate the deformation of grains and grain boundary in the alloy.The a-type dislocations reaction cat form hexagonal network of dislocation.At the same time,deformed twins is a deformtion method in transformed beta phase of the alloy.
