Liang Yuping. Ceramic Nanocomposites[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1994, 0(6): 1-4.

Ceramic nanocomposites were found to show two to five times high fracture toughness and strength atroom temperature than those of monolithic materials. The hardness, strength and thermal shock fracture resistance were also strongly improved for these composites. The researching state of fabrication process, structure and mechanical proporties of nanocomposites were reviewed.

Yu Xuebin, Zhang Guding, Wu Renjie. An Investigution of Aluminium Matrix Composites for Electronic Pack-aging Fabricated by Vacuum Preesure Infiltration Casting[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1994, 0(6): 9-12.

This poper spoaks in detail the vacuum pressure infiltration casting process used for fabricating aluminium matrix composites for elctronic packaging. We measured the density, volume fraction and porosity of the composites which are reinforced with SiCp,copper-plating short carton fibers, P130 graphite shotr fibers,Al2O3 short fibers, graphite phosphoplates and graphite particulates. In the paper the metallographs are given and we analyses the effect of different reinforcements, methods of making preform and hybrid reinforce on the volume fraction and porosity of aluminium matrix composites for electronic packaging.

A SiCw/AI-Li-Cu-Mg-Zr composite was sucessfully fabricated by the squeeze-casting method. The composition and microstructure of the composite were analyzed by using chemistry analysis,FPMA and SFM. It has been shown that SiC whiskers disperse homogeneously in the matrix, and the composition of the composite matrix can be controlled in the designed range. The fabricated composite has low density, high elastic modulus and good combination of strength and ductility.

Gao Jiacheng, Zhang Yaping, Tan Jifu. The Microstructure of the Bioceramic Coating by Laser Cladding[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1994, 0(6): 16-18.

Laser surface coating of step bioceramic composite layer on austenic stainless steel was studied. Themorrphology, composition and phases of the coating were analysed SEM. EDS and XRD etc. The resultsshow that when the ratio of CaHPO4·2H2O/CaCO3 powders paved is larger than that of HAP composingusually and lorwer power and higher speed of laser are controlled,a living bioceramic composite coatings included HAP etc. can be obtained. The bioceramic coating by laser cladding has high bonding strength and even composition. Its microstructure is net-granular.

Chen Yuwen, Fu Zuoyi, Ma Jimin. A New Kind of Oxidation Resistant Titanium Mlloy wiht Ultra-high Strength[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1994, 0(6): 19-22.

This article gives an introduction of a new kind of oxidation resistant titanium alloy with ultra-highstrength,including the alloy development and proressing. Attention has been focused on the physical, mechanical proporties and potential applications of the alloy. This alloy has a very high room temperaturestrength, exhibits exceptional high temperature strength characteristics and thermal stability under 590℃ The oxidation rate at 815℃ is only one percent of the Ti-15-3 alloy’s. Beta-21S possesses excellent corrosion resistant and is more creep resistant than TC-4 and Ti-15-3 alloy. Cold rollability of the alloy isroughly equivalent to Ti-15-3 alloy which is boing called“alloyed industrial pure titanium”.This alloywill fill some gaps in the titanium alloy applications.

In analysis of the microcracks on the surface of the cam is presented. It shows that the microcracks are formed in the course of the cam grinding and caused by higher content of residual austenite and carbide network in the carburization layer. The preventative measures for the formation of microcracks on the surface of the cam are mentioned in the article.

Lu Shengxue. Analysis of Clipping Fault to Piston Connecting Pin of Control Actuator[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1994, 0(6): 40-41,34.

The piston connecting pin clipping fault of control actuator is comprehensirely analysied in this paper. The reason of the pin clipping fault is not caused by material and techology etc. but pressure overshootover the clipping strength when testing.
