A highly alloyed secondary hardening steel 16NiCo has been studying for more than three years.The optimum alloy compeition of the steel should be 0.16C-2Cr-10Ni-1Mo-14Co. After quenching and ag-ing,the microstructure is composed of highly dislocated lath martensite,a small amounts of interlath retained austenite and twinnig,and some carbides which strengthening the alloy. This stecl possessed excellent combined mechanical properties,the typical mechanical values are as follows:the ultimate strength of 1740MPa,the plane fracture toughness KIC of 153MPa √mand and the KISCC of 82MPa√m. 16NiCo met the requirements of aerospace application,and could be widely used to manufacture the critieal joints,horizontal stabilator shaft,arresting hooks and carrier-based aircraft landing gears,etc.

In this paper,the effects of homogenizing regulation on hot-forming proporty and mechanical property alloy 01420 is studied, after alloy is homogenizied. The results show that the effects of homogenizing regulation on property is very obvious,when the homogenizing of alloy is not enough or alloy is buring,alloy during hot-rolling will crack and plasticity will be low. After being homogenizied at 475℃ for 48 hours, the distribution of magnesium atom is homogeneous and alloy is of the best synthetical property.

STM has been used to investigate the nanometer-scale morphology of the surface of recording media before or after the structure change. Combining the image-processing software with Fourier analysis method,STM can be used properly to study the fractal property of the morphology of the films The morphology of the amorphous film,which is prepared by electron beam evaporation method isplays fractal property in nanometer scale. After heating,the film transforms from non-crystalline state to crystalline state,and the fractal dimension of its surface morphology increases.

Hot corrosion of Ni3Al intermetallic compound and sputtered COCrAlY coating on Ni3Al in the presence of(Na,K)2SO4 salts film at 900~950℃ in air were studied. It is shown that Ni3Al suffers hot corrosion, and sputtered CoCrAlY coating can grcatly improve hot corrosion resistance of Ni3Al by the formation of protective Al,Cr oxides scale.

The temperature gradient and solid/liquid. interface position was determed by continuously measuring the top surface temperature of the sample. It was found that the pulling speed affect the temperature gradient slighly,but it has large effect on the solid/liquid interface position. The solid/liquid interface was pulled away from the hot zone with the increasing of the pulling speed.
