By measuring in the conventional mechaical properties and examining qualitatively and quantitatively inclusions of the RE-treated and non-RE-treated l8Ni(350)maraging steel,it was found that the toughness and ductility can be improved by suitable lanthanum addition.Affected by the particular chemical composition of maraging steel and other reasons,the improvenment of toughness and ductility of suitable La-treated maraging steel is not significant.

The formation of weld microstructure in inertia friction welding by was studied mans of microscope,SEM and TEM.The results show that microstructure of weld zone greatly changes in the radial direction. The centre of joint is characterized by fine equiaxial grains.The flashing is by lamellar structure.A“V”shape weld zone is formed from the centre of joint to the flashing.

The effect of change in Ag contents on the tensile property and ageing microstructure of Al-Li (CP 276)alloy has been studied.Adding 0.11wt%Ag to the alloy promote the precipitation of T1 phase and improve the peak strength.The GP zones containing Ag and Mg appear in the earlier ageing stage in the alloy containing 0.38wt% Ag,decreasing the solubility of Cu in the alloy,preventing the precipitation of T1 phase and reducing the strength;in the further ageing stage,GP zones are dissolved,T1 phase precipitated enmously and the peak strength is improved.

The general properties of AS4 carbon fiber and its epoxy composites are discussed.Compared with T300 carbon fiber,it can be concluded that the properties of AS4 are usually as the same as T300 on the whole.AS4 carbon fibers can also be widely used.

Residual stresses,microstructure,compact degree and the elevated fatigue properties of hot-isostatically-pressed nickle-base superalloy Rene'95 before and after shot peening have been investigated in the present paper.The results have been shown that high cyclic and low cyclic fatigue strength can be enhanced effectively by shot peening strengthening.

This paper introduces the conception of equivalent beam for acoustic impedance inspection(AII).It has been derived that the Equivalent Spring Constand(ESC)of adhesive bonding structure.The ESC is not only a function of geometric dimensions,but it is also a function of exciting frequency of AII red.On the basis of it,the reason of"abnormal indication"of AII in small pit areas on the surface of metal honeycomb adhesive bonding structure has been explained and the theoritical basis,which may distinguish whether the bonding areas have degummed by mens of changing the exciting frequency of AII rod,has been indicated.
