    In the present paper,the current research situation about ceramic nanocomposites has been summarized.The preparing techniques,improvement of mechanical properties and microstructure characteristics of the ceramic nanocomposites were emphatically introduced.A suggestion on developing the ceramic nanocomposite with high strength and toughness as well as high temperature resistant has been put forward by the present writer.

    A theoretical model for the distribution of bridging traction in fiber reinforced metal laminates(FRMLs)was developed.The model includes the effects of delamination shape and size,saw-cut size and shear deformation of adhesive in the boundary of delamination.The stress intensity factor for FRMLs was determined with weight function method.

    Xu Hongqing, Dai Nanrong, She Dongling, Dong Yan. Tensile Fracture Features of Boron Fibre[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1996, 0(6): 27-29.

    In this paper the fracture surface of boron fibre are observed and analysis by optical microscope and scanning electron microscope.The results show that fracture of boron fibre originates from its intrinsic defects and cracks.It is summed up and classified that a great variety of fractures was observed,The occurrences of defect and crack are avoided or by modifying the deposition process,and then the tensile strength of boron fibre is improved.

    Zhao Jiapei, Guan Baoqing, Li Fengmei, Li Bintai. Technical Parameters in SiCw/Si3N4 Composite Fabrication[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1996, 0(6): 30-32,44.

    The mechanical properties of SiCw/Si3N4 composite is investigated in this paper.The results show that there is great effect of aspect ratio of SiC whisker,dispersion level of whisker in matrix,and technical parameters in hot pressing on mechanical properties of composite.The mechanical properties of SiCw/Si3N4 composite were increased after the hot pressing parameters have been optimized. Fracture toughness of composite at 1000℃has exceeded 10 MPa· m1/2.

    In this paper,the structure and character of B-Al-Ti interface on boron filament reinforced aluminium composite tube with titanium end fittings have been investiguted.The research show that no aluminium or magnesium borides were detected near the B-Al interface.TiAl ordered intermetallic compound has been found on the Ti-Al interface.The results of experiments confirm that the method of incline join used between B/Al composite and titanium end fittings is effective.According to distinctions loaded,the size of incline join was changed easily to support different load.

    Shen Chao. Effects of Epoxide Equivalent Weight on Resin Curing and Properties[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1996, 0(6): 36-39.

    Using dicyandiamide urea epoxy resin system,the effects of epoxide equivalent weight on resin curing and properties were discussed.Based on different epoxide equivalent weight and related viscosity mixed bisphenol A epoxy resin,it was found that epoxide equivalent weight affects the curing velocity,the curing degree,dynamic mechanical properties,dry and wet condition interlaminar shear strength.

    The properties of PEEK were investigated in paper,it was made into prepreg by electrostatic powder coating,The equipment,processing and specification of the prepreg were introduced.The composite conversed with prepreg of AS4 C/PEEK had good mechanical properties,high toughness and enviromental resistance.In addition the fundamental research for applying them in aerospace was also shown here.

    Wang Renzhi, Wang Wuxiang, Ru Jilai, Li Xiangbin. Investigation on γ' Phase Transformation and Density Change Induced by Plastic Deformation of FGH95(HIP)Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1996, 0(6): 47-49.

    The theoretical densities of FGH95 alloy,γ,γ' phase and the influence of the amount of γ' phase and microporosities on the theoretical densities were quantitatively calculated.The calculated results is nearly consistent with measuring those of the alloy.According to the relative change of the alloy density,it is proved that microporosities can be reduced in the amount or eliminated by cyclic plasticity due to shot peening,which is one of the important factors to improve the fatigue properties of the alloy.
