    The pressure cylinder being made of aramid fiber reinforced resin matrix composite has been studied by means of acoustic emission technique.The resutls show that the Felicity's ratio is an important acoustic emission parameter for evaluating the inner failure of a pressure cylinder and has a direct effect on blasting strength.High amplitude events can be indications of a cylinder blast.

    The technology of CCD photographing and digital image processing through computer were used to test quantitatively for scattering particles in the polycrystalline-magnesium-fluoride(MgF2)dome of missile,its accessory facilities──SG-95 type of scattering particles testing sysytem had been designed and manufactured,80, engineering quantitative test and automatic count of scattering particles in the MgF2 missile dome was realised for the first time. The accuracy of the testing system was better than 10μm.

    In the case of powder metallurgy materials,the most important fact causing incipient crack formation which can reduce the life of fatigue is inclusions.This paper introduces the method and results of smallinclusion detected by Ultrasonic,compares the testing capability of different frequency and discusses the characterise and size of the inclusion in the dissected specimen.

    Jiang Futang, He Shuangqi, Shen Jianzhong. A Discussion of Some Questions about Lamb Waves in Nondestructive Testing[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1996, 0(10): 29-31.

    Some questions about Lamb waves in nondestructive testing of thin metal sheet were discussed in this paper. The calculation formula of energy distribution along thickness of sheet was advanced.It was shown that amplitude distribution of particle displacement could not be taken as the energy distribution and the uniformity of the energy distribution could not be used as principal criterion for optimum detection paramater. Furthermore,the generation of Lamb waves,the mechanism of the interaction between delamination and Lamb waves,the method of choosing optimum detection parameter were given primarily.

    The method of leaky Rayleigh wave surface flaw imaging on ceramics using conventional high frequency ultrasonic C-scan system is described.Some testing examples are presented.The characteristics of leaky Rayleigh wave imaging with high frequency focusing transducer are discussed.
