In this paper, the process of two phase porous calcium phosphate ceramics made of calcium phosphate colloid chemically synthesized from calcium salt and phosphate has been introduced. Experimental results showed that after foam shaped, heat treated and sintered, the mechanical properties of the ceramics above-mentioned are superior to that of the hydroxylapatite and its biocompatibility is well.

Wei Yuansheng, Wang Zhenqing, Wang Guangsheng. Database of Heat Treatment Process for Aeronautical Materials & CAPP System[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(1): 17-20.

It is a matter of great urgency developing a database of heat treatment (HT) process for aeronautical materials and establishing a CAPP system. The ways to launch into a research and the methods to complete which have been expounded in this paper. It will be seen from examples that an integration of both of the database and the microsoft can successfuly realize a disposal of function, numerical calculation and intelligence problem around CAPP by computer. Appearance of the system will propel a development of HT for aerocraft forward.

Wang Qibao, Guo Mengxiong, Han Minfang. A Study on the Rate-determining Step of Growing SiC Whisker[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(1): 21-23,27.

It is an important method that synthetic SiC whisker from rice hulls. In this paper, the rate-determining step of the SiC whisker grown by VLS process was studied, and a new composite catalyst that enhanced the reaction rate had been researched. It was found that the reaction generated SiO from SiO2 and C in rice hulls with high temperature was not only the rate-determining step of generating SiC particle, but also SiC whisker.

Zhao Xun, Yang Shengliang, Yang Deming, Jiang Jixiang. A Study of the Ageing Behaviour of SiCw/7475Al Composite[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(1): 24-27.

The aging process of SiCw/7475Al composites has been studied via harder test and DSC analysis results. It shows that comparing with the matrix alloy the composites has a lower age-hardening effect, a higher opitimal artifical aging temperature and its aging process has been retarded somewhat. It was analyzed that the precipitation characteristics have a close relationship with the high density of the dislocation in the composite, and the interaction between the precipited phase and the dislocation.

Microstructure and tensile properties of a SiCw/Al-Li-Cu-Mg-Zr composite, fabricated by squeeze casting method and then aged at 190℃, were investigated by use of hardness measurement, SEM,TEM and tensile test. The results indicate that the major and secondary strengthen precipitates in the composite are δ’(Al3Li) and δ’(Al2CuMg) phase, respectively. Confirming from the TEM observations, the growth rate of δ’ phase and nucleation of δ’ phase are accelerated by the high density dislocations in the composite matrix. Aging treatment has obvious influence on strength of the composite, while little effect on fractographs.

In this paper a beta-ray gauge with 14C weak source was established to measure both release paper and coated paper with epoxy resin during the direct hot-melting coating manufacture of prepregs. Meanwhile the resin content of coated paper was tested uncontinuously using the weight method. The results indicated that the intensity ratio of beta-ray I/T0 was consistent with the resin content value. Therefore we concluded the beta-ray gauge with 14C weak source is suitable for the monitoring of resin content in prepreg on line.
