    Damping behaviors of ZM5 magnesium alloy and its composite Gr/Mg were studied and it was found the damping capacity of Gr/Mg was better than thatof magnesium alloy both at room temperature and at high temperature,and this improvement was increasing when temperature was elevated. It was then concluded thatthe main damping mechanism in magnesium matrix composite was the dislocation damping at room temperature and the interface damping at high temperature.

    With the help of SEM and random EDXA analysis,abrasion behavior of Al2O3/SiC and SiCw/SiC ceramics are discussed. At low contact stresses,Al2O3/SiC ceramics exhibit relatively better wear resistance than SiCw/SiC ceramics.The overall effects of the plasticity,fracture toughness and hardness on abrasive wear are all important.The wear precess consists mainly of single particle dispatching and cluster spalling.

    In order to research hot cracking of directionally solidified castings similar to blade,a series of test pieces were designed which were“I” shape to hinder cross contraction and were thin-walled to be in accordance with the features of blades. A semi-quantitative method wase also proposed to evaluate hot cracking tendency.Hot cracking experiment were carried out for Al-Cu and Rene125 alloys in the directional solidification semi-continuous vacuum device. The experiment result proves good repeatability of this method to evaluate hot cracking tendency proposed in this paper.

    Shen Guiqin, Luo Jianjun, Wang Shihong. The Preventing Technology for Fretting Damage of High-Temperature Titanium Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(8): 28-30.

    The preventing effects of various surface coating,including firing-sprayed Cu, plasma-sprayed Cu-Ni-In,exploding-sprayed WC/Co-Ⅰ and plasma-sprayed WC/Co-Ⅱ,on fretting fatigue of TC11 titanuinm alloy at room-temperature and 500 ℃ have been studied.It was found that the plasma-sprayed WC/Co-Ⅱ coading has an execellent preventing result,the fretting fatigue strength of TC11 titanium was increased by over40 percent at both room-temperature and 500 ℃ . the firing-sprayde Cu coating raised the fretting fatigue strength of TC11 alloy by 62% at room temperature,but its preventing performance at 500 ℃ was not as good as that at room-temperature and the Cu coating itself was damaged badly.

    Zhang Shichao, Qiu Xueliang, Ma Changwen. The Oxidation Behavior of the Nature Graphite[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(8): 31-32,27.

    The oxidation behavior of the nature graphite has been studied.The experiment results showed that the oxidation rate of the nature graphite increases with the burn-off at first,and then achieves a steady maximal rate,after that the rate decreases with the burn-off of the nature graphite.At the steady rate period,the dependence of the oxidation rate on the temperature is in keeping with the Arrhenius equation.The activated energy of the oxidation reaction is 38kcal/mol.

    The effect of cycle quenching treatment on strength,ductility and fatigue properties of 50 CrVA steel spring is studied.The experimental results show that cycle quenching treatment increases tensile strength,reduction of cross-sectional area and fatigue life. Under the condition of maximal working stress of 780 MPa,the fatigue life of springs exceeds 107cycles after cycle quenching treatment.

    This paper investigated microstructures and mechanical properties of directionally solidified superalloy DZ-22B after the long-term ageing at 800 ℃ for 5000 h and 900℃ for 3000 h.The results showed that there is no TCP phase in agreement with the result of phase calculation.The mechanical properties remain steady.

    High temperature reaction of repeatedly used non toxic mould sand was investigated by simulation test and compareing with infrared spectroscopies of reference samples.The results shown that high boiling hadrocarbon and sodium tetraborate is produced by high temperature reaction of this mould sand.

    The effect of S content in fuel on hot corrosion of K3 alloy has been analysed by hot corrosion testing in gas.It was found that the increase of S (sulphur) content in fuel oil will strengthen acid solution and weaken alkilic solution of oxide films.S also increases sulfide and consumes protective element Cr,then results in the failure of K3.

    A new technique called on multi-step thermal mechanical treatment for wrapped sample was proposed in order to surmount the fault of normal thermal-mechanical treatment.The effect of the new process parameters on the appearant quality and hot deformation microstructure of forging ingot was researched in detail.lt is importance to explore the relationship between the process and microstructure morphology.The processing laws,which can obtain the good microstructure and high appearance quality for Ti-33Al-3Cr-0.5Mo alloy,was put forward.

    Senarmontite,the cubic form of Sb2O3,is prepared by hydrolyzing SbCl3 at PH7~14 in the aqueous medium which contains tartaric acid or tartrate,the Sb2O3 from hydrolysis is washed and dried.This technique has many advantages-simple flowsheet,short reaction period,high whiteness and pure cubic crystal.

    Co-Cr-Mo alloy is a kind of very good corrosion-resistant materials for manufacturing articles that being immersed into human body.In the human body the alloys always keep passive state.Most of the Co-Cr-Mo artificial joints taken out of patients are non-corroded,only one exception has been found that the porous-coated joint taken out of the patient after conservative treating for two years was infected by the green pustule bacillus. The failed joint was analyzed immediately and a simulated corrosion test was conducted by using a specimen of a Co-Cr-Mo joint.It was concluded that the green pustule bacilli which producing green pigment are corrosive to Co-Cr-Mo artificial joints.
