    Zeng Rong, Zeng Hanmin. Formation of the Conductive Path in Conductive Polymer Composites[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(10): 9-13.

    Several models about the formation of the conductive path in conductive polymer composites were reviewed, including statistics, thermodynamics, effective medium and microstructure models. The models and real system were analyzed and compared. We think a better interpretation of the formation mechanism of the conductive path must be on the basis of nonequilibrium thermodynamics, nonlinear dynamics and fractal structure.

    Chen Kai, Yu Menghuai, Hu Shangxu, Yu Sirong, He Zhenming. Neural Network Simulation on Mechanical Properties of ZA22/Al2O3f Composites[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(10): 14-16.

    The typical model of neural network e.g. B-P algorithm was adopted to analyze as well as predict the mechanical properties of ZA22/Al2O3f composites. The results show that B-P model is not only suitable for the regression and prediction for the single variable output non-liner system, but also suitable for the multi-variables output non-liner system. Perfect fault tolerance ability was also found in the B-P model while it was used to analyze the mechanical properties of ZA22/Al2O3f composites.

    It is usually happened that the molden steel-slag splashes and then sticks on the surface of the oxygen lance, especially during the semisteel making. In this paper,a new process has been developed successfully to coat high-temperature graded ceramic coatings for resistance sticking on the surface of the oxygen lance. With the coating, there is hardly any stick on the surface of the oxygen lance,the life of the oxygen lance is increased by a factor 15%. The bonding strength,spalling resistance and wetting properties of the coating layer are also discussed.

    Le Qichi, Cui Jianzhong. The Mechanical Properties and the Characteristics of Tensile Fracture of Mg-Li Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(10): 19-22,42.

    The Density and the mechanical properties of Mg-Li binary alloy were investigated in this paper,and the effects of Ag and Li on the mechanical properties of the optimum orthogonal alloy (Mg-7Li-14Zn-0.57La-1.0Ce-1.22Nd-1.6Ag)were discussed. Its results indicated that the density of binary alloy decreased with increasing the quantity of Li, and Mg-10.3Li had a better combination of mechanical properties, the tensile strength of the optimum orthogonal alloy almost increased linearly as the addition of Ag.However,the effect of Li on mechanical properties of optimum orthogonal alloy was different from that of the binary. The examination of the tensile fracture found that the binary alloy was ductile fracture,the Mg-7Li-14Zn ternary alloy was typically intercrystalline fracture, and the optimum orthogonal alloy was ductile-cleavage-intercrystalline fracture.

    Tian Jun, Xue Qunji. Reduction Effect of Flow Noise in Low Frequency[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(10): 23-24,31.

    The flow noise reduction of Al alloy model with low surface energy coatings have been studied in a water tunnel. The results are compared with measured previously an Al alloy model, large difference are formed between Al model and covered low surface energy coating, the flow noise of covered coating model were capable of decreasing 3~19dB in 1~1.6kHz. The surface structure of covered coating model contributed to its inhomogeneous components of laminar powder by increasing bond between water and coating to turbulent flow of the boundary layer and decreasing the eddy size of boundary layers.

    The fabricating process of metallic ceramic coatings by thermochemical reaction method was studied. The phase structure and microstructure of the coatings were also investigated in this paper. Results showed continuous, dense and well-adhered coatings could be obtained by this process. A medium carbon steel coated by this method exhibited excellent resistance to corrosion.

    A novel fiberoptic sensor which is embedded in composite material and structures to form a fiberoptic sensor network is presented in this paper. This sensor network can be used to measure the structure state in composite material such as strain or damage and so on, and the experimental results have shown the feasibility of this measurement method.

    In this paper, according to analysis on failure part and normal part, the sulphide distributing along boundary, coarse original austenitic grains and intergranular dimples in the microstructure are found, so it can conclude that fracture of tractive hoop is caused by local overheat. It is also shown that fracture of tractive hoop happened before plastical deformation.
