    The expression of fatigue life is offered for short carbon fiber reinforced poly-ether-ether-ketone composite by statistically analyzing the test data.Furthermore,prediction procedures of the critical values of the accumulated fatigue damage and its probability distribution region under two level loads are given.

    The composition and some mechanical and chemical properties of FeMnSiCrNi shape memory alloys have been studied.The results show that alloy has good SME.By training,the absolute recovery strain of the alloy can reach 6.2%.The alloy has a good creep resistance,a good intergranular corrosion resistance and a good corrosion resistance in NaOH solution.

    Evaluation of equivalent initial faults size (EIFS) or initial fatigue quality (IFQ) of structure details is one of the three evaluation tasks in the durability and damage tolerance design of aircraft structures. Based on the analysis of macro and micro fracture features, by the fracture quantitative analysis method, the fatigue crack propagation data under loading spectrum and data proceeding by mechanical model have been investigated for 30CrMnSiNi2A steel in this paper. It is proved that there is a definitive relationship between fracture appearance and loading spectrum. The curves between crack length (a) and cycles (N) under FALSTAFF loading spectrum are established by fracture quantitative analysis method. EIFS and its distribution are obtained by mechanical model. IFQ can be used to evaluate the quality of parts and components of aircraft, the reliability of manufacturing process, and etc.

    The PTFE film was treated by plasma and acrylic acid to improve its wettability.The chemical states and species on the surface of PTFE film have been investigated by XPS.The C-F bonds on surface of film were broken by plasma and C-C and C-O bonds were formed after PTFE film was treated by plasma.PTFE film modified by plasma can reacted with acrylic acid and grafted the acid group on the surface of PTFE film.The pretreatment of plasma and acrylic acid reaction can improve the wettability of PTFE film greatly.After PTFE surface was grafted with acrylic acid,the permanence wettability of PTFE film can be achieved. 

    Zhang Dezhi, Xiao Jimei. Study of the Room Temperature Tensile Properties of Fe3Al Based Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(12): 29-32.

    In this paper,a combination of SEM,AES and optical microscope is used to investigate the room temperature tensile properties of Fe3Al based alloy.The experimental results show that heat treatment effects the properties remarkably and there is no impurity segregation in grain boundary.

    A new surface strengthening method of holes-impact strengthening by balls,which is different from the traditional strengthening,is introduced in the present paper,this method is suitable particularly for the surface strengthening of holes the diameters of which are larger than φ30mm.It exhibits remarkable strengthening effect for improving the fatigue strength of holes.

    Yuan Xiaoguang, Xu Daming, Li Qingchun. The Effect of T6 Temper on the Fracture Mechanism of a Spray Deposited Al-Si-Fe-Cu-Mg Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1997, 0(12): 35-38.

    This paper is concerned with the fracture of a spray deposited Al-Si-Fe-Cu-Mg alloy before and after T6 temper.T6 temper eliminates the pointed angle and internal stress in Si phase to change the origin of microcrack from only inside of Si phase to the boundary between Si phase and the matrix except for inside of Si phase.T6 temper strengthenes the matrix and suppresses the development of microcrack to increase the strength of the alloy.

    This paper describes the high cycle fatigue properties of the two orientations of single crystal superalloy DD3.The results showed that after shot-peening,the properties of orientation was lowered,and the properties of orientation was raised.

    The chemical composition of the material, fractures, machanical properties, microstructure of the piston rods of the compressor have been studied. The fatigue fracture mode is determined.The main cause and effect factors of fracture on piston rods are found. The prevention measures are proposed.
