    Peng Yingguo, Yan Yue, Zhang Shaoqing, Sun Changyi. Microstructural Analysis for Fatigue Fracture of B/Al Composites[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1998, 0(1): 3-6.

    The fatigue fracture of B/Al composites was investigated with scanning electron microscopy.The fractographes were found varying with the stress levels and controlled by different mechanisms.The specimen with higher interfacial strength is able to endure more cycles of stress before final fracture.The effects of the fiber distribution on the fatigue property were also discussed.

    Chen Mingwei, Chen Da, Wang Dening, Lin Dongliang. Interaction between Deformation and Lamellar Interfaces in Polysynthetically Twinned(PST) Crystal of TiAl[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1998, 0(1): 7-10.

    Interactions between gliding dislocation and twins with lamellar interfaces have been studied by TEM.It was found that α2/γ interfaces severely inhibit the twin propagation and dislocation glide,which induces high yield strength and low plasticity at the hardening orientation in PST crystals.There exists the change of deformation mode from twinning to dislocation gliding at γ/γM and γ/γP interfaces,which results from the facts that interfaces inhibit the twin propagation and accommodate the deformation.Comparatively,γ/γT interfaces have less effect on inhibiting the deformation process.

    Chen Yuwen. The Research on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of β21S Titanium Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1998, 0(1): 11-14.

    β21S is a metastable beta titanium alloy.It was originally developed as a strip producible,oxidation resistant matrix material for the metal matrix composites of the American National Aerospace Plane (NASP).Its unique set of properties,however,have led to its being considered for a variety of aerospace industrial applications.In this article,the transformation temperature of β21S has been determined,ultrasonic inspection has been done,mechanical properties and microstructure of β21S alloy bars on various heat treatment conditions have been studied.Results show that β21S has excellent mechanical properties and its microstructure is similar to those of other metastable β Titanium alloys with poor β.

    The effects of of various plies on the radar wave transmittance of carbon fiber reinfored plastics (CFRP) is studied.The results show that the transmittance decreases with increasing the number of plies (thickness),the transmittance increases with the increasing of the angle |θ|(0≤|θ|≤90°)between the fiber orientation and the electric field for unidirectional fibers plies.

    The response properties of some physical parameters(electromagnetic parameters,absorption and penetrability etc.)due to containing of short carbon fibers have been studied in this paper.It has been found that the length or content of fibers can adjust the electromagnetic parameters and attenuation property of functional materials in a wide range.The results of study is becoming the basis for further study of radar absorbing and electromagnetic shielding functional materials.

    The curing reactions of bismaleimide resin system were characterized by DSC and FTIR in situ technology.Curing temperature and relationship between component coversion rate and the reaction period at different temperature were found.Optimization of curing parameters were obtained according to the data of DSC and IR.

    Cheng Yuhang, Zhao Jiansheng, Wu Yiping, Chen Jianguo. The Study of 65MnV Steel Used for Quenching Ejector Pins of Plastic Dies[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1998, 0(1): 25-27.

    Based on servicing and manufactured property demands of quenching ejector pins of plastic dies,a new quenching ejector pin steel 65MnV was studied.The physical,mechanical and technological properties were also tested and compared with other ejector pin steel(65Mn) generally used.Results showed that 65MnV steel has better mechanical,manufactured and wear resistance properties.Compared with 65Mn,σ0.2 and σb increase by 292MPa and 203MPa respectively,ak and wear resistance increase by 3 and 0.3 times respectively.65MnV steel is a ideal steel for quenching eject pin.

    Several testing methods for determining the residual stresses in fiber reinforced metal laminates were introduced in this paper,and the residual stresses in glass fiber reinforced aluminium laminates(GLARE) were measured.Based on the testing results,the advantages and disadvantages of the above testing methods were analyzed.Some suggestions for determining the residual stresses in fiber reinforced metal laminates were presented.

    In the present paper,the process of isothermal forging of as-HIPed Rene'95 is simulated by using large deformation rigid-viscoplastic finite element method(FEM).The effects of the velocity of the press and the friction on the deformation are analyzed.

    Brush anodic oxidation condition,performance of brush anodic oxide coatings on aluminium alloys were studied.The results showed that brush anodic oxide coatings get better corrosion-resistance,abrasion resistance and adhesive strength on the paint.

    The scanning acoustic microscope(SAM) in the reflection mode has proved to be a rather simple and direct means for monitoring the elastic properties of a solid surface.The output of SAM consists of the reflected sound wave of paraxial beams and leaky surface elastic wave,which is sensitive to the change of surface elastic properties.The generation of leaky wave depends on relative values of Rayleigh angle θR and angular aperture θm.In this paper,a special acoustic lens with diaphragms has been used to study the non-homogeneity of a solid surface,the images of surface non-homogeneity distrbution have been obtained.

    In this paper,optimization of process parameters and prediction of microstructure and performance of forging have been summarized.On the basis of the summarization,a fuzzy neurai network model has been proposed and applied to prediction of microstructure and performance and optimization of process parameters.With the help of the method proposcd in this paper,good quality of dic-forging can be ensured and consumption of material can be decreased.
