    Xu Cailu, H. M. Tensi R. Roesch. Effect of the Cooling Conditions and Mg Content on the Microstructures of Al-Si11.0 Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1999, 0(1): 3-6.

    Effect of cooling conditions and Mg on the dendritic,eutectic structures of Al-Si11.0 alloy by unidirectional solidification was investigated.The results show that with increase of the cooling rate the first dendritic spacings and second dendritic arm spacings are evidently decreased;Mg addition raises the dendritic arm spacing considerably at the low cooling rate (<160K/min),while it has no significant influence on dendritic arm spacings at high cooling rate.Enhancement of the cooling rate fines the eutectic structure of Al-Si11.0 alloy.In all experimented cooling conditions the alloy with the addition of 0.15% Mg possesses the coarsest eutectic structure,while the alloy with the 0.3% Mg addition the finest structure in eutectics.

    A new type of substrate material of MH/Ni cell was prepared by plating viscose-based activated carbon fiber(VACF) with nickel (VACF(Ni)) Key parameters,such as electrical resistance,porosity,pore size and distribution,areal density and flexibility were determined in our study Results show that the properties of the VACF(Ni) substrate could be controlled by adjusting the plating processing parameters The VACF(Ni) can be a promising electrode substrate to replace the foamed nickel substrate.

    MAH was grafted on PP powder surface by solid phase graft copolymerization with BPO and DCP as initiators.The grafting degree influenced by factors of the concentration of initiator and monomer,reaction temperature and time was studied.And graft extent and crystal structure of MAH-g-PP were characterized by XPS and WAXD.

    The high performance of PCD tool were expounded by testing the property of PCD tool with SEM and comparison with natural diamond Base on the test of PCD tool cutting high strength SiC p reinforced aluminum matrix composite,the influence of cutting speed on cutting force,surface roughness, tool life and the cutting length were discussed, and the optimum cutting speed in this course was summarized.It is shown that the best total efficiency can be obtained when the optimum velocity is from 30 to 40 meters per minute.

    Wang Yong, Wang Weidong, Han Tao. Study of the Welding Hot sensitivity of Sprayed Porcelain Pipe[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1999, 0(1): 17-19.

    A combination of HST,SEM and XRD was used for investigating the welding hot-sensitivity of sprayed porcelain pipe The experimental results show that the hardness of the base metal increases and the microstructure transfers from F+P to B+P+F with the peak temperature going up;after cyclic heating to 1350℃ and 1200℃, many intergranular cracks occur in base metal In the interface of the metal enamel,bubbles occur,but no cracks;while at peak temperature 950℃ and 700℃,there are cracks but no bubbles; the structure of enamel coating at peak temperature 1350℃ is examined as full vitresence , while the structure after cyclic heating at low peak temperature is mainly vitresence together with Na2MoO4(MoO3)y crystalline phase.

    Based on the isothermal constant strain-rate compression tests,the constitutive relationship for FGH95 alloy was established by using multiple nonlinear regression method Compared with that by using multiple linear regression method,it is found that the constitutive relationship proposed in the paper has clear physical background and high regression precision The method presented in this paper for establishment of constitutive relationship is universally applicable to engineering materials.

    Piezoelectric Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 thin films on shape memory alloy TiNi substrates prepared by sol-gel process were investigated.Lead acetate,zirconium isopropoxide and titanium n-butyloxide dissolved respectively in a solvent were mixed under nitrogen to form a precursor solution.The resultant solution was spun onto the TiNi SMA substrates at 2000 r/min for 30s.The amorphous thin films were crystallized by annealing at an appropriate temperature in air.It was found that the crack-free PZT thin films were of good mechanical bonding with the TiNi substrates.

    The paper gives analysis to the tests on deformation cracks and fracture of an engines nozzle vanes done by metallographic and scan electromicroscope methods The results show that the non-unibormity of engine temperature fields and the partial high temperature lead to overheat of the nozzle vanes and result in deformation and cracks.
