    Sequential interpenetrating polymer networks(IPNs) based on hydrogenated nitrile rubber(HNBR) and various polyalkyl methacrylates were synthesized.Infrared(IR) spectroscopy showed that there were strong absorbing peaks at 1750-1700cm-1and 1190-1150cm-1,suggesting the successful synthesization of polyalkyl methacrylates.With increasing in bulkiness of the ester group of the acrylates the hardness,tensile strength,and 100% modulus decreased because of decreased stiffness of the acrylate phase.Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis proved that IPNs could broaden the damping peaks.HNBR/PBMA IPN had a higher tanδ indicating that it would be suitable to be used in a constrained layer damping system and HNBR/PMMA might be preferable for extensional damping system with higher modulus and reasonable tanδ.

    Based on a system of macro & micro fracture appearance observation,energy spectrum analysis,metallurgical structure inspection and the fracture mechanism,the fracture cause of the compressor piston rod was obtained.The results showed that the piston rod was overload fracture.After the piston fractured,driving force made the piston rod press the cylinder components or the broken the piston,and led to the piston rod deformation and fracture.

    The elements distribution near interface during hot isostatic pressing(HIP) and diffusion bonding was simulated with DICTRA by signal phase model,and the relation between microstructure in diffusion reaction layer and elements distribution was constructed by equilibrium phase diagram calculation.The comparison between experimetal and calculated results indicated that the simulation model and equilibrium phase diagram calculation can exactly describe the elements distribution law and predict microstructure variation near interface.Morever,the influence of temperature and time on element distribution law were simulated.According to the relations between element diffusion distances and interface bonding quality,a series of proper processing parameters were obtained,including 1050℃/200MPa/2.5-3h,1100℃/200MPa/1h,1150℃/200MPa/0.5h et al.

    Poly(ester-amine salt)s(PEAS) precursor's cycloimidization to polyimide was important one of two-step polyimide foam plastics producing method.Three different and closely related PEAS were prepared,their thermal cycloimidization to the corresponding imides form was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) analysis under isothermal conditions at eight different temperatures,for 30min respectively.The electric charge of different main atoms forming hydrogen bond with solvents was achieved through Gaussian 03 program.The results showed that the degree of cycloimidization of PEAS to polyimide had been calculated from their FTIR spectra.Cycloimidization occured at faster rate before 170℃,after that,this processes decreased gradually.Depending on the nature of diamine,the cycloimidization degree of containing electron with-drawing group like sulfone(PEAS3) and ether(PEAS2) in the diamine was somewhat higher compared with those of PEAS1.The higher electric charges of main atoms of diamine leaded to the higher cycloimidization degree of PEAS precursor.

    PANG Jin-cheng, QIAO Ying-jie, GENG Lin, FAN Guo-hua. Microstructure Analysis for Al-Pb Alloy of Preparation in Powder Metallurgy Processing[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 2009, 0(12): 22-25.

    Al-Pb alloy was prepared by mechanical alloying(MA) and vacuum hot-pressed sintering,and microstructure was refined by hot-extrusion.The XRD analysis showed that the profile of both Al and Pb diffraction peaks broadened in the process of the mechanical alloying,and the grain size of Al,Pb decreased.The SEM showed that the alloy powders can be got after 15h of the ball-milling,with the phase composite structure of the Pb depressed on the Al matrix.The bulk of Al-Pb alloy was obtained by vacuum hot-pressing sintering at 550℃ and 20MPa for one hour.The structure can be refined and size of the Pb particles can be decreased by appropriate hot extrusion.The tensile strength and elongation can reach 231.6MPa and 17.6%.

    Excess carbon elimination from fibers by H2-treatment and the thermal stability of homemade silicon carbide fibers at high temperature in hydrogen was studied through XRD analysis and SEM observation.Silicon carbide fibers were annealed at 900,1200,1500℃ and 1800℃ for 4h in a hydrogen flow atmosphere,respectively.The mass of homemade silicon carbide fibers decreased and a severe damage of fiber microstructure appeared with the increased of annealing temperatures,but the crystallization of β-SiC was very slight.The results indicated that the homemade silicon carbide fiber was rely largely upon the Si-O-C bond which formed with absorption of oxygen,and the thermal stability of homemade silicon carbide fibers at high-temperature in hydrogen atmosphere was affected.

    Based on the results of thermal-mechanical modeling tests and quantitative metalographical measurement data,the BP network flow stress model and microstructure evolution models of TC11 titanium alloy with equiaxed structure during hot deformation processes in α+β region were established.Thought integrating the established models of TC11 alloy into the FE code-MARC software,a coupled simulation of deformation with heat transfer and microstructure evolution is carried out for the disk forging.The test comparison results show that the prediction error of α grain size is less than 10%.

    With activated carbon for reducing agent,the sol-gel method was used to prepare the giant magnetoresistance materials Sr2FeMoO6,which was the double perovskite oxide.XRD pattern demonstrated that the as-synthesized sample was Sr2FeMoO6 with tetragonal crystal structure and I4/mmm space group,and unit cell parameter was a=0.558nm,c=0.7882nm.The SEM photograph showed that the primary particles were spherical in shape and the grain size was below 100nm.Magnetism testing results showed that the Curie temperature was above room temperature and the saturation magnetization of the sample was 13.59A·m2·kg-1 under 1T at room temperature.

    The effect of exposed mode on atmospheric corrosion for carbon steel at Qingdao area was investigated.The results show that the corrosion of carbon steel is the most severe under the B mode,which is under roof and face to horizontal by upward,and C mode,which is under roof and face to horizontal by downward.When the exposure is slope and face to the south(A mode),the corrosion of carbon steel is less than that under B and C mode.It is suggested that the corrosion phenomena are related to the high humidity and Cl-at Qingdao.

    Ar/oxygen ion beam generated in gridless ion beam source with low energy was employed for surface modification of polycarbonate(PC) aimed at improvement of its adhesion characteristics.The results showed that the adhesion characteristic between PC and acrylate adhesive was significantly improved after modification because of ion beam bombardment resulted in excellent hydrophilicity,increasing of the polarity,denuding of the weak boundary and engendering of crosslinked boundary.

    The characteristics of the nano-sized TiO2 in the interface of laser-remelted ceramic material and NiCoCrAl bond coating were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM),energy dispersion spectrometer(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The action mechanism of nano-sized TiO2 in the ceramic coating was studied as well.The results show that nano-TiO2 act as the medium that increases tenacity and conducts heat for ceramic material.With the micro-cracks increasing tenacity for ceramic material,the nano-sized TiO2 transferred the heat which was generated by high-energy laser beam to its surrounding Al2O3 simultaneous.Owing to its own melting,nano-sized TiO2 acted as bond phase,which made ceramic coating more compact.The nano-sized TiO2 in ceramic materials concentrated to the interface side and reacted with them,which implement chemical bonding between ceramic coating layer and bond coating.

    Magnetron-sputter deposition was used to produce a Ti-48Al-8Cr-2Ag(atom fraction/%) coating on a cast Ti3Al alloy substrate.The corrosion microstructures were analyzed in great detail by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray diffraction(EDX) and transmitted electron microscopy(TEM) investigations.The results indicated that the sputtered coating showed much better hot corrosion resistance in molten(Na,K)2SO4 than that of Ti3Al substrate.In electrochemical corrosion,the coating exhibited the passivation phemonenon,and showed the excellent electrochemical corrosion resistance.

    Some rules are obeyed on the micro-arc oxidation(MAO) forming process of the magnesium alloys.The size variation of MAO coatings in different parts is found that in the earlier stage the coating growing outward is dominant,but in the later stage the coating growing inward is dominant.And the migration rule of some alloying elements in the matrix was studied.Moreover the velocity of some particles was estimated in the earlier stage of the coating growing.The results showed that in the earlier stage the velocity of the coating growing was controlled by the velocity of the mass transfer.However in the later stage it was controlled by the diffusion equation.And the diffusion of the oxygen ion was very important.

    A new acceleration test method for accelerated wear failure of 3Cr13 coating was presented.The MM200 friction tester was used to investigate the accelerated wear life of 3Cr13 coating prepared by high velocity arc spraying technique under SiO2 particles lubrication.The suitable abrasive particles were screened by means of SEM images.And the accelerated wear mechanism of the coating induced by SiO2 particles was also analyzed.Experimental results demonstrated that the micron size of SiO2 particles can be applied to accelerated wear test of 3Cr13 coating.The possible mechanism of accelerated wear caused by SiO2 particles were obtained after the analysis of worn surface morphologies,i.e.microcutting,extruding and gathering of particles.

    The curing properties and chemorheological behaviors of LSP-8020B unsaturated polyester resin system were studied with DSC analysis and viscosity experiments.A rheological model based on the engineering viscosity equation which was in good agreement with the results of experiments is established and used to simulate the rheological behavior of LSP-8020B resin system.The processing window of LSP-8020B resin system can be well determined based on the developed model.The rheological model is important for vacuum infusion molding processing parameter optimization and quality control of integral manufacture for large-scale composite parts.

    The fatigue behavior of under-aged,peak-aged,over-aged and nature-aged 2A12 alloy in air at room temperature was investigated using a tension-compression fatigue testing machine.The effect of air on the fatigue fractures was studied by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results showed that the cycle number of fatigue breakdown increased obviously with the cyclic stress decreasing for each aged 2A12 alloy,the lower the cyclic stress level,the more obvious increased the fatigue lifetime,in atmospheric environment with a room temperature.The fractures of every-aged state in air at room temperature are transgranulars,in which fatigue striations,steps and dimples are observed,and more areas with fatigue striations exist under lower cyclic stresses.Tyre-like patterns are observed on fatigue fractures in air for the under-aged and peak-aged.The best fatigue crack growth resistance is revealed at the natural aging state,then it is decreasing in order of the under-aged,peak-aged state and the over-aged state.The reason for the effect of air on the fatigue behavior of every-aged 2A12 alloy was discussed.

    A anti-abrasion titanium anodizing coating was prepared.Abrasion ability of the coating was examined,and the structure and morphology of the coating were studied.The coating can improve the abrasion property of titanium alloy,and it is a coarse,thick multi-pore coating.The coating is composed by rutile TiO2 and anatase TiO2.

    Based on the characteristics of semiconductor and metal phase transition,with temperature variations,electric or magnetic fields,and pressure variations,vanadium dioxide thin film with smart properties has great potential.Physical processes and technical characteristics of the pulsed laser deposition in the context of the preparation of metal oxide were mainly described,and process parameters and study at home and abroad in the fabrication of vanadium dioxide thin film material were presented,and the contrast among several traditional fabrication methods was provided.The effect of doping by pulsed laser deposition to the properties of vanadium dioxide thin film,and VO2 nano-material fabricated by pulsed laser deposition were given.The problems and future of fabrication of vanadium dioxide thin film material with smart properties by pusled laser depostion were discussed.
