Research on TLP Diffusion Bonding Technology of the DD3 Single Crystal Superalloy Two-halves Blades

Abstract:An investigation of transient liquid phase (TLP) diffusion bonding of the first generation single crystal superalloy DD3 was presented. The interlayer alloy employed was an amorphous foil developed for DD3 alloy. The obtained stress-rupture property of the TLP bonded joints reached 90% of that of the base metal. The engineering feasibility of diffusion bonding of DD3 single crystal superalloy two-halves blades was also studied.
