The effect of carburizing treatment on the oxidation resistance at high temperature of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb(at.%)alloy was investigated.It has been found by test that the oxidation resistance of TiAl based alloy at elevated temperature can be effectively improved by this way.SEM, wave length spectrum analysis, EDAX and X-ray diffraction analysis were used to study the mechanism of enhance of oxidation resistance of TiAl based alloy by carburization.

Microstructures and mechanical properties of 30CrMnSiNi2A steel quenched in oil at different temperatures tempering have been studied.The results show that this steel tempered specimens at 250~270℃can obtain better combination of stength and toughness.Comparing with isothermal quenching, stength can be increased and fracture toughness was increased substantially.

Dynamic tension on the 20μm SiC particulate reinforced 2024Al composite fabricated by P/M technique was carried out.It was indicated that the SiC particulates were fractured at lower stress.The accumulative damage of the composite caused by the fracture of a lot of SiC particulates resulted in final fracture of the cimposite.The result was accounted for by the strengthening mechanism and theoritical calculation.

This study has proved that high quality blanks which possess homogeneous structure and continuous grain flow distributed along the contour, when screw press and horizontal forging machine are respectively used for extruding and upsetting blanks of TC-11 titanium alloy precision forging blades.The material which is used for forging blade can be greatly saved.This processing method is suited to the national conditions and has wide application prospects.
