The creep curves,stress exponent and activation energy of creep of a DS casting Ni3Al base alloy IC6 in the temperature range of 950~1100℃ have been calculated in this paper.The microstructure change during creep has been examined with SEM and TEM techniques,the forming mechanism of γ raft structure during creep has been discussed.It has been found that the γ raft structure inhibits dislocation movement effectively.

The propagation behavior of short and long fatigue cracks emanating from notches in specimens of a TiB2 particulate reinforced ZA-8 Zn metal matrix composite(MMC) and the corresponding constituent matrix material was studied.By using well-polished specimens and monitoring the development of fatigue crack path,the growth rate of short and long fatigue cracks was measured through a load-reducing program.The interaction between particles and crack tip was observed along the crack path as well.Results of this study revealed the arresting phenomenon of short cracks in the MMC specimens as well as in the constituent matrix material. This arresting behavior is attributed to the notch plasticity in both materials,and also to the interaction between particles and crack in the MMC,It was also found that short and long fatigue cracks in the two materials demonstrated clearly the different growth rates at same △K levels,resulting from different closure effects as the crack length increased.However,through subtracting out the effect of closure behavior so as to demonstrate the characteristics of crack growth rate in terms of △Keff,the difference in crack growth rate between short and long cracks has become minimal.

In this paper,10vol%SiCp/LY12 Al composite was fabricated by spray deposition processing and its superplasticity has been investigated.The experimental results show that this Al composite has good superplasticity with the pretreatment of the hot isostatic pressing and isostatic hot extrusion,the optimum parameters during superplastic deformation are respectively 480℃ of the deformation temperature and 1.0×10-3 s-1 of the initial strain rate,the maximum value of strain-rate exponent and limit elongation are respectively 0.53 and 345%.

The study of the synthesis method and some properties of Polyketone Sulfide(PKS)were made mainly in this work.PKS which has the struture as was synthesized by 4.4'-dichloro-benzophenone and sodium sulfide.DSC and TG showed that the values of melting point and enthalpy of fusation of PKS were 338.41℃ and 32.80 J/g respectively.It started to decompose at 456℃ and lost half weight at 650℃.Chemical immersion indicated that PKS has better corrosion-resistant properties.

The favourable mechanical performances and applicational effect have been achieved, when the process of carburizing followed by austempering is carried out in Cr12MoV steel. This paper deals with the microstructure of inside and outside layer after treating as above process, in Cr12MoV steel. The results are as follows:the Bainite in inside structure is typical; the particular dark needle structure has been found in carburized layer after long time austempering. This analyse and results can be regarded as the theoretical basis in this new process field,i.e. carburizing followed by austempering, which increases the strength and toughness of Cr12MoV steel.

This paper analyzes the reason of early fracture of GCr15 cold-rolling roller by EPMA and Optical metallography. The result show that fracture origins are not on the surface of macrofracture, but at the roller's neck keyway roots that there stress is concentrated. Sulfide inclusions being dispersed along the direction of roller axis are coalesced at the roller's neck keyway roots and lead to fracture in working process. Inhomogeneous microstructure of roller's neck accelecates the fracture propagation.
