Being boiled with thick nitric acid, carbon nanotubes made by CVD are in the scale of nanometer. On the surface there are many -OH functional groups With -OH,carbon nanotubes can join the polymerization, which will cut down the mechanical properties.Choosing suitable compositing method,in the condition of the resistance for carbon nanotube to the growth of PA6 molecular,PA6/carbon nanotube composite with better mechanical properties can be obtained by improving the dispersion of carbon nanotubes in matrix, and post treating.

The superplastic flow characteristics of MB26 magnesium alloy under the conditions of tension and compresion were studied in this paper. The results shown that the hot extroded MB26 without any pretreatment presented good superplasticity. At the optimum tensile condition T=400℃ with the strain rate ε0=1.17×10-2s-1,the maximum elongation reached to 1450%,the flow stress was 8.7MPa and the strain rate sensitivity was 0.6;While in the compresion condition T=400℃ with the strain rate ε0=8.3×10-3s-1,the true strain was more than 2.18,the stress was 18MPa and the strain rate sensitivity was more than 0.4.

Li Dingqiang, Lin Dongliang, Xu Yun. The Effect of Ti Addition on Oxidation Behavior of FeAl Intermetallic Alloy[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1998, 0(9): 14-17.

The influence of titanium on the high temperature cyclic oxidation behaviors of FeAl intermetallic alloys in ambient atmosphere at 1000℃ and 1100℃ have been investigated in ths paper. The oxidation kinetics of FeAl alloys was examined by weight change method and oxide products were examined by X-ray diffraction,SEM and EDS It is shown that the oxidation kinetic curves of both Ti-doped and Ti-undoped Fe-36.5Al alloys were described as different parabolas followed the formula:(ΔW/S)2=Kp+C The Kp values, constants of parabolic oxidizing rate, are about 2.4,3.3mg2cm-4h-1 for Ti-doped FeAl alloy and about 1.3,2.0mg2cm-4h-1 for Ti-undoped FeAl alloy when oxidizing at 1000℃ and 1100℃ respectively. The oxidation surfaces are different between Ti-undoped and Ti-doped FeAl alloys and oxides of the latter are not only Al2O3 but also TiO.The effect of Ti addition on the oxidation resistance of FeAl alloy was resulted from the formation of TiO film on the surface of the alloy as well as the strengthening the connections of the scale and substrate based on the analyses.

Leng Yongxiang, Huang Nan, Yang Ping. Research on Synthesis of Taltanlum Nitride Film and Its Structure[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 1998, 0(9): 18-20,27.

The taltanlum nitride film has been deposited by the reactive magnetron sputtering. The microstructure of the film were characterize by XRD and TEM techniques. The results revealed that the multiphase was coexistent in the film and the grain size of the film was small(about 16nm).In addition, the preferred orientation was observed, and it changed and developed along the direction where the interplanar spacing was more broad when increasing N2 partial pressure.Synthesized under specific conditions the hardness of the taltanlum nitride film reached 4000kg/mm2 or above. The cause of high hardness of the film was discussed. The cause of the preferred orientation changed when increasing N2 partial pressure was also discussed.

Ni-ZrO2 composite plating has been prepared by co-deposition technology, and its structural analysis has been done by SEM and TEM.Owing to the existence of ZrO2 powder in composite plating, the crystal grains of matrix Ni were greatly fined, and also the density of twin crystal and dislocation in matrix Ni were increased sharply comparing with that of pure Ni plating.

A study has been made of the wear characteristics of three counterfaces as Al-10Si/SiCp couple with different materials, such as 40Cr steel,H62 brass and Al-10Si/SiCp.It is found that these counterfaces exhibit much different wear rates.40Cr steel is a better counterface for the composite, and the wear rate is very high for the H62 brass matched with Al-10Si/SiCp.Under specific conditions, this composite performs a good self friction resistance. It can use itself as counterface.

Viscose-based activated carbon fiber(ACF) was prepared by pretreatment, carbonization, activation.Silver metal was introduced to the ACF from silver nitrate (AgNO3) aqueous solutions by immersion process, followed by vacuum decomposition process, leading to activated carbon fiber supporting silver(ACF(Ag)).Influence of process parameters, concentrations of AgNO3 solutions, immersion time and decomposition temperature on the silver particle size, distribution and morphology was investigated.A mechanism about nucleation and growth of silver particles was proposed in this paper.Factors affecting bonding strength between silver particles and the ACF were also analyzed in this study.
