Abstract:(La,Sr)MnO3 doped with Cr2O3,a new cathode materials for SOFC,was synthesized by powder sintering in air to substitute Mn in the formula.The compounds (La0.85Sr0.15)(Mn1-yCry)O3+δ,with y=0,0.05,0.1,0.15 and 0.2 were investigated on nonstoichiometry,crystal structure,electrical conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient.While increasing y,the molar ratio[Mn4+]/[Mn+Cr] and oxide nonstoichiometry δ decrease but the molar ratio [Mn4+]/[Mn3+] is constant,and that the conductivity tends to close at 1000℃ although the conductive activation energy E-a increases.In the sight of the experiment the crystal structure is rhombohedral,and the thermal expansion coefficient is always compatible between the cathode materials and the solid electrolyte YSZ.
