    With the different Er additions,the tensile properties of under-aged 1420 alloy at different directions are tested,and the deformation texture and microstructure of the alloy observed,the effects and mechanisms of Er on the anisotropy of mechanical properties of 1420 alloy is studied.The results show that with Er addition increased,the anisotropy of mechanical properties of 1420 alloy is remarkably enhanced,which mainly result from that Er can greatly intensify the texture of B{011}<211>,facilitate the precipitation and growth of δ' phase,and further cause the larger size and higher volume fraction of δ' phase.

    CHENG Ru, HUANG Pei, SHI Jun. The Effect on Thermal Stability of Polyimide Films Based on Phthalimide End-capped ODPA and ODA[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 2006, 0(7): 7-10.

    Polyimide films capped with nonreactive phthalimide end groups were synthesized with theoretical number average molecular mass of 10000 and 30000 calculated using the Carothers equation.The effect of end-capper on the thermal properties was studied by investigating the change of the glass transition temperature(Tg) of films after cured at high temperature.The Gel Permeation Chromatography(GPC) results indicated that the molecular distribution of end capped PAA was smaller than that of the no end-capped one.The Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) results showed PA end-capped polyimide films exhibited slower rising range of the Tg compared to no end cappers films'.With the increasing of curing time,the Tg of the short chain film increased slowly,which of the long chain film increased straightly.The end capper's effect was explained based on polymerization at high temperature,chain branching/crossing-linking reactions and molecular activity.

    Carbon nitride films were prepared on graphite substrate by magnetron sputtering.Gas mixture containing argon and nitrogen at various ratios were used as the sputtering atmosphere.The structure of the obtained films was investigated by infrared spectrum and X-ray diffraction.IR spectrum demonstrated the formation of covalent bonds between carbon and nitrogen atoms.X-ray diffraction experiments indicated that the films consisted of g-C3N4 and β-C3N4,and the graphitic form carbon nitride was the main component of the film.Besides,the sputtering atmosphere had important influence on the yield of β-C3N4.In our experiment,the maximum of β-C3N4 was obtained when volume fraction of nitrogen was 33%.

    A new thermal barrier coatings material LaMgAl11O19 was studied,and LaMgAl11O19 spray powder that could apply in APS was prepared.The generating temperature of LaMgAl11O19 was analyzed by DSC,the phase structure was inspected by XRD,the microstructure of powder was observed by SEM,and the aging test was taken for 50h at 1300℃.The results showed that the generating amount of LaMgAl11O19 phase lay on holding temperature and time;the start generating temperature of LaMgAl11O19 phase was about 1200-1300℃,the finish generating temperature was 1553.5℃;the generating efficiency of LaMgAl11O19 phase was improved following along the elevation of holding temperature;the single phase LaMgAl11O19 spray powder could be prepared with holding temperature for 2 hours at 1570℃;the rate of shrinkage of LaMgAl11O19 was about 2.8%,the peaks of LaMgAl11O19 phase in the powder with aging test showed a higher intensity than in that without aging test.

    A set of formulae for calculating the equivalent permittivity εeff and equivalent permeability μeff of multilayer absorbing material based on reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient was presented.Equivalent εeff and μeff are the EM parameters of a single layer homogenous material which has the same reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient as the multilayer absorbing material.Adopting the concept of equivalent εeff and μeff can simplify the analysis and design of the multilayer absorbing material much more.After obtaining the reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient of the multilayer absorbing material by calculation or measurement,its equivalent εeff and μeff can be obtained from this set of formulae conveniently.

    The corrosion behavior of silicon oxynitride bonding silicon carbide(Si2N2O/SiC) composite in molten pure magnesium and AZ91 magnesium alloy was investigated.The microstructure and component for the surface layer were characterized by SEM,EDS and XRD.The experimental results showed that there were reactions between liquid metals and SiO2 on the surface of the composite.After the SiO2 was used up and reaction products formed compact protective layers,the Si2N2O/SiC composite exhibited good resistance to corrosion of liquid magnesium and AZ91 magnesium alloy.

    The effect of cyanate ester resin modified with aluminum borate whisker was studied.The results indicated that the mechanical property of the cyanate ester/aluminum borate whisker treated with the silane coupling agent-KH550 composite was increased.When the content in the composite is appropriate,the whisker treated with the coupling agent can improve the bending strength and im-pact strength by 11.8% and 27.2%.

    The effect of nano-titanium dioxide on thermal performance of silicone rubber reinforced with MQ resin under the proton radiation with the energy of 100keV and 150keV by space combined radiation system was studied.The results showed that the color of surface of silicon rubber without adding nano-particle was deepened,the aging crackle was produced on the surface of rubber after irradiation and the quantity of the crackle increased with the increase of irradiation energy and dosage.The mass loss ratio of silicon rubber increased and thermal stability reduced after irradiation.The shrinkage of silicone rubber reduced in the temperature range of vitreous state and vitrification transition region and the expansivity of silicon rubber increased in the temperature range of high-elasticity state after proton radiation.Compared with silicone rubber without adding nano-titanium dioxide,the degree of color deepening,surface crackle damaging,mass loss ratio increasing,thermal performance reducing and ratio of shrinkage and expansivity changing of silicone rubber modified with nano-titanium dioxide reduced after the proton irradiation of the same energy and fluence,which showed obvious irradiation resistance performance.

    CHANG Hua, LUO Xin-yi, LI Shun-lin, YANG Wen-tao. Hot-press Sintering of CeO2/Zn Nanocomposite Powders Prepared by High-energy Ball Milling[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 2006, 0(7): 35-38,42.

    The nanocomposite bulks of CeO2/Zn were prepared by vacuum hot-press sintering of as-milled powders under vacuum.The effects of three factors,namely sintering temperature,pressure and holding time were evaluated by L9(34) orthogonal design.The results indicated that with the extension of ball-milling time,the CeO2 nanoparticles were dispersed more homogenous in the bulks and the size of matrix grain decreased continuously.The relative density of the bulks increased with the increment of the sintering temperature,pressure and holding time.Among the three factors,sintering temperature played the most important role,and the holding time had the weakest effect.The as-fabricated nanocomposite bulks could be added successfully into hot-dip galvanizing bath.

    ZHANG Zhuo, ZHANG Wen-xiong. Crystallization and Miscibility of Polyamide TLCP/Nylon66 Molecular Composites[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 2006, 0(7): 39-42.

    TLCP/nylon-66 molecular composites were compounded by solution blend.Crystallization and miscibility were researched by DSC,WAXD and FTIR.DSC results showed that composites melting points and crystallization temperature were reduced due to additional TLCP,and crystallization rate and crystallization degree tended to decrease.Composites demonstrated supramolecular liquid-crystalline behavior in 50%(mass fraction)TLCP ratio.WAXD results showed that distance between crystalline surfaces increased while increasing TLCP concentrations,so it can be certain that TLCP had taken part in nylon-66 crystallization process.According to DSC and WAXD results,TLCP apparently restrain crystallization of nylon-66.FTIR approved that there was intermolecular hydrogen-bonding between molecules of TLCP and nylon66,and intensity of intermolecular hydrogen-bonding increased with increasing TLCP concentrations.

    Based on the analysis to the creep behaviors of three experimental single crystal superalloys with various Re contents at 1100℃/140MPa,the effects of Re on the γ' directional coarsening in single crystal superalloys were investigated.The results show that Re significantly promotes the formation of regular and perfect γ' rafts,decreases the diffusion rate of element,restrains the increasing of the thickness of γ phase and confines the decreasing rate of the volume fraction of γ' phase during creep,so γ' phase is stabilized and its strengthening effects prolonged.

    Study on fatigue behavior in CuAlNi SMA wires with columnar grains casted by heated mold continuous casting process was carried on cyclic tensile testing at 4%, 6% and 8% strains.The cyclic numbers at 4% and 6% strains are usually above 30000 because of the γ1'→β1″deformation mode,whereas at 8% strain the cyclic numbers drop drastically because the deformation mode of β1″ is elastic deformation.Tensile fatigue promotes the formation of stripe zones along the grain boundaries which contain mainly martensite,so as to relax the stress concentration in grain boundaries.

    The solidification model of aluminum alloy composites was established according to the law of conservation.The numerical simulation of alumina short fiber reinforced aluminum-copper binary alloy composite was carried out with the model.The results indicate that the elements with low melting point and solute are concentrated around alumina short fibers.The concentration segregation in the matrix is increased with cooling rate rising and decreased with of fiber volume of increasing.

    Aimed at the question of metal magnetic memory(MMM),one of new development nondestructive testing method,which can not evaluate the welding cracks quantitative at present.This paper analyzed the derivative MMM signal of pre-welding cracks,extracted the location feature of welding cracks and founded the quantitative relation between derivative MMM signal and parameters of welding cracks.Spot inspection indicates that the welding cracks can be evaluated quantitative by the feature of derivative MMM signal.

    MA Hong-yi, LI Xiao-gang, LI Hong-yun. Tension and Fatigue Properties of Glass Fiber Reinforced Aluminum Laminates[J]. Journal of Materials Engineering, 2006, 0(7): 61-64.

    The tension and fatigue properties of unidirectional and cross-ply glass fiber reinforced aluminum laminates were tested and analyzed.Metal volume fraction equation was used and amended to confirm the tension properties of the two kinds of laminates.On the basis of studying of the fatigue crack growth rate and fatigue crack growth appearance,the fatigue crack growth rate equations of the two kinds of laminates were obtained respectively and the fatigue crack growth mechanism was analyzed.
